A Partnership Between Damascus Chamber of Industry and the Directorate of Health to Develop Medical Services and Attract Calibers
The President of the Damascus and its Countryside Chamber of Industry, Eng. Muhammad Ayman Al-Mawlawi, met with the Director of Damascus Health, Dr. Wael Daghmash, in the presence of Eng. Wafa Abu Labdeh, a member of the Chamber's Board of Directors.
The meeting addressed ways to develop and sustain medical services provided to citizens and to bridge the shortage in specialized supplies and equipment. Dr. Wael Daghmash initiated the meeting by highlighting the field challenges and needs facing the healthcare system in Damascus. He emphasized the Health Directorate's strategy to provide distinguished staff and attract medical talents, particularly in the fields of surgery and anesthesia.
Daghmash explained that intensive efforts are underway to restore, maintain, and secure vital equipment, as well as to ensure the effective attendance of the medical staff. He pointed out that achieving decent hospitality and healthcare services is fully realized only when all pillars of treatment come together: a competent physician, modern equipment, and a hospitalization environment that preserves the patient's dignity.
For his part, Eng. Muhammad Ayman Al-Mawlawi praised the exceptional efforts exerted by the Directorate of Health and the medical staff under the current circumstances and available capabilities. He noted that the depletion experienced by health institutions requires collective efforts to support them. Al-Mawlawi affirmed the keenness of the Chamber and the industrialists to support and stand by the health sector, encouraging economic activities to contribute directly to ensuring the delivery of the best medical and humanitarian services to citizens and alleviating their burdens
