The Damascus and Countryside Chamber of Industry, headed by Engineer Mohammad Ayman Mawlawi and accompanied by a delegation of board members, participated in the official launch ceremony of the "Made in Syria" system by the Ministry of Economy and Industry. The event took place on the sidelines of the Damascus International Fair. Along with its president, the Chamber's delegation included Mr. Ghassan Al-Kasm (Vice President), Mr. Adham Al-Tabbaa (Treasurer), Eng. Wafaa Abu Labdeh, Mr. Osama Al-Hamwi, and Mr. Anas Traboulsi (Board Members), in addition to Mr. Wasim Saad (Director of the Chamber). The system represents an integrated national program that aims to regulate and certify Syrian products, reinforcing confidence in local production across domestic and international markets. This is achieved by relying on strict, objective evaluation standards that measure the actual industrial origin, the percentage of local content, and the level of quality compliance. Furthermore, the certification process is based on a fully automated digital pathway via a unified electronic platform. This journey includes facility registration, document submission, technical evaluation, field auditing, sample collection and testing, leading up to the issuance of a compliance certificate and a registered national number
